Mathakheni is a Tshivenda word meaning "The very top of trees" where all the fresh new leaves are found.  It resembles the kind of service one can expect at Mathakheni Guest Lodge - Fresh, top quality!  18 Years in the airline industry and travelling worldwide provided the opportunity to experience so many different hotels, motels and guest houses that we believe Mathakheni can contribute richly to the tourism industry.

Mathakheni offers guests a private, enclosed garden with each rondavel unit as well as a full breakfast each morning.  Other meals and snacks are available on request and transport can also be arranged.

Our menu includes umleqwa (indigenous chicken), free range chicken, eggs, vegetables and herbs from the garden.  We also have a young orchard which should be ready soon.
